One Word That Describes Me Analysis
One Word That Describes Me
What’s one word that describes me? That’s the question that I have pondered for a long time. Honestly, until watching Citizen Kane and being forced to write this essay, I had no idea. To narrow down one word that fully describes me is a very difficult this to do. I have to look within to see what really matters to me and what words complexly engulf my personality. I believe that the one word that represents me is adventurous. Every year my family plans to gather themselves in an obscure and secluded location to bond with one another and participate in an adventurous event. Circa age 10 I fashioned a zip-line in my back yard from an Oak Tree to the crevice of the corner of our shed. Even at a young age I was always

In Janelle Monáe’s “Hell You Talmbout” she talks about people living in poverty. She first starts with the first verse saying that in poverty there is a lot of violence, from bombs being thrown, guns being pulled out, and a body lying on the streets from police brutality. In the chorus she repeats “Now what the hell you talking ‘bout?” this could be seen as Janelle speaking to an outsider who does not see all the violence and poverty, while those who live in those conditions experience it every day. In the second verse, Janelle addresses the topic of how fast drugs are traveling in poverty and how they are stealing from one another to get money for drugs. In the line “the poor man eats off of the rich men’s dollar,” Janelle refers to how many…

I can still remember the times when I was just a young boy. I grew up in the rural part of town on our family's ranch. Most knew where my family resided, as we set up our establishment and named it the Double G Ranch. Amongst my family, included a vast variety of animals. We had everything from racing horses to bulls and even a mean rooster that startled everyone on the farm except for my mother. Friends and close relatives would often visit to participate in trail rides, social gatherings, and other outdoor activities. My family's ranch became not only everyone else around us the favorite place to hang out, but also a place where I created memories. I can honestly say that my childhood consisted of numerous adventures that fulfilled my enjoyment.…

Growing up in rural Kansas was boring. Especially since I grew up in the seventies. There were no cell phones or game systems to occupy my time. My family had an old black and white television set. I loved to watch The Price is Right in the days before Bob Barker’s hair turned white. After the show was over, the only way to kill time was to play outside and wander down to the creek that ran parallel to our property. There was a secret trail buried in the wall of trees that lined our two acre yard. My brother and I would slide down the trail, landing on the dirt banks like explorers on a mission. Sometimes we would hunt for crawdads under rocks. Other times we would take our poles and fish. We never went into the water after the time I got bit by a gar.…

The five words that I believe that describes me are Bi or multi-lingual, organized, visionary, resilient, and listener. Multilingual because I speak and write Spanish and English. Being able to know two languages has been very helpful because I get to help people translate at work or anywhere I go. I like to be organized in my school stuff and personal things because it makes everything so much easy to do and I get things done on time when I organized my stuff.
