Part one
1. Building a New Classroom block
The school board decide from past experience that the funds in the school coffers would be enough to cover the cost. Once that has been ascertained, the building site is identified. Architects design a plan for the new classroom block and send it to the county council for approval. Whwn approaval is received the school obtains a quoutation from the school approved contractor. Te contractor suggests a fix and supply contract therefore the school is not involved in the purchase of buliding materials. The contractor organises the flow of equipment and materials to the site. The workers are assembled and the construction begins.
The contractor has given a time frame of three months from start until completion of the project taking into account disruptions caused by the weather.
2. Phases of a Project Life cycle
Conception
This is a phase where the need for the project is identified. Im my example it is the need to increase classrooms as te school is taking more pupils than previously.
