got sent to a daytime job at a talk-show arena. After she boosted up the third-rated local arena, she decided to launch her own production company and became internationally known. This was not easy for her, she would get judged and was seen as a minority just because of the color of her skin. She had her own show launched for the first time in 1986, the show was called, The Oprah Winfrey Show. By the mid-1990’s, she had a show in which she focused in living happily, literature, self-improvement, and spirituality. She doesn’t only have her own show, but she also has a magazine, her own network among other things. She is best known for her show, and also for being a huge philanthropist and all the things that she does to help others.
Her fame didn’t only reach every part of the united States, but it also became worldwide. Her show, The Oprah Winfrey Show aired in 121 different countries. The whole world fell in love with her and her love for other people and life itself. Oprah, also has online courses that you can take and they will teach you how to love life and live it to the fullest. Her influence became so big in the world of therapy and self improvement that The Wall Street Journal came up with a term, “Oprahfication”, which means public confession as a form of therapy. “Oprahfication” has also been used in politics, Bill Clinton was described as the first man who brought that term into the world of politics. The power of this woman, can be seen in the way she influenced on public opinion on important matters, one of them is on customer purchasing choices. This movement became know as the “Oprah Effect.” In the late 1996’s, Oprah began a d=segment on her show about new books. She soon had a book club of her own, Oprah’s Book Club, the book club that changed America. As we have seen, Oprah’s influence on the world is much grater than most people’s. Her legacy and thoughts about loving yourself and life will always remind and will always be around, even when she’s
not.
