When the cell is fighting diseases, the mitochondrion work over time to produce the energy needed to battle it. The mitochondrion will frequently double or triple so there will be expanded man power to fight it. No other organelle does this. Humbly, the mitochondria will be the first to tell you that it could not do this alone – of course it couldn’t it.
Due to the fact that the cell is a complex system, it requires the abilities of dozens of different organelles to function properly; the mitochondria is simply the basis of all functions. The mitochondria is the metaphorical foundation which is built upon by the responsibilities of the other organelles. For example, the ribosomes directly use the mitochondrial ATP to synthesize proteins that are used to repair damage or catalyze chemical processes within the cell. Without these proteins, cell life would resemble natural selectivity where only the strongest survive. Our community’s longevity would be a of game of chance, hoping that we aren’t exposed to a new virus considering, since our defense system is down, it would mean our definite
demise. When determining who will be the best leader of this community remember this: if a leader is supposed to bring individuals together then is it not best to pick the organelle who is relied on by all other organelles, who’s proper function is the key to cell success? All in all, when making your decision, do not let glorified egocentric organelles convince you that they are high and mighty within this cell. Form your decision on the ideas of prosperity, cohesiveness, and preservation. Hopefully, after considering these traits, you will vote for the mitochondria.
