and Assumptions

Culture characterizes the collective beliefs of traditions, ethical understandings, and practices of a group or the organization as a whole (Unknown, n.d.). However, the core culture values are assumptions, values, and artifacts. Organizational culture is the basic assumptions that are behind the values that determine the groups behavior patterns and artifacts (Jennifer Bellot, 2011).
Within Lexington School District One’s Accounting office, the culture is set high regarding the value element. Value can be described as how things are done (UMUC, 2017). The expectations of one’s culture. It is the belief of this culture to be professional in all aspects while providing the employees, as well as the public, with information, conducting business, and keeping a high standard of oneself when away from work. After all, the employees represent the district, whether at work, away from work on personal time, and even social media.
