Oscar’s Life Changing Adventure
Oscar’s Life Changing Adventure
1. Intro – Once upon a time, there was an oxygen molecule named Oscar. Oscar was getting ready to go on the biggest adventure of his life, a trip through the respiratory system to become a carbon dioxide molecule.
2. Intro Extended – In order to start his adventure, Oscar must find a body to be breathed in by. Once he found a body that breathed him in, he faces the decision of choosing either to enter through the mouth or the nose. Oscar decides to enter through the nose.
3. Nose - Before exiting the nose and continuing his adventure, Oscar finds out that he must pass through the police of the respiratory system know as the cilia and mucus. The cilia and mucus trap dust and smoke, filter air, and sweep the bad stuff from the lungs.
4. Pharynx - The next stop on Oscar’s adventure is the pharynx. Here, there is a water slide where both oxygen and food can take to move through the respiratory system. Oscar decides to jump on the slide and he is on his way.
5. Epiglottis – At the end of the water slide, Oscar gets off and realizes that he has just entered the Epiglottis Game Show. His task is to choose between door number one, the food passageway, and door number two, the windpipe. Oscar chooses door number two and wins. This means that he gets to continue on his adventure.
6. Larynx – After opening door number two, Oscar finds himself on La La Larynx American Idol, the well-known singing competition that takes place in the larynx. Oscar sings a song about his adventure so far and the judges decide that he is good enough to move on.
7. Trachea – Oscar’s next stop is the trachea, a very windy place where he can relax and fly his kite. Oscar named his kite windpipe; naming it after the place he first flew it.
8. Bronchi – Oscar comes across two tunnels, one on his right and one on his left. Both tunnels, known as bronchi, look exactly the same. So in order to decide which way to go, Oscar does eeny-meeny-miny-moe. This leads him

    C. Which structures found in the terminal bronchioles and alveoli normally would protect cari’s lungs from infectious pathogens and particulate matter? Normally goblet cells secrete mucous to trap particles while cilia works by moving mucous towards the pharynx for removal. Cigarette smoke damages and destroys cilia, and causes goblet cells to produce increased amounts of mucous. The damaged cilia combined with increased mucous obstructs airflow in and out of the lungs.…

Why does society as a whole stand for everything it fights? In a world that criminalizes bullying and preaches about equality, do social crimes slip through the cracks unnoticed. It is true that things we are afraid of draw our attention, and we are dedicated to crushing our fears aren’t we? Did a kindergartener know what a terrorist was before September Eleventh? No, and he likely wouldn’t have been able to locate the Middle East anymore than his house on a map. The collapse of the Soviet Union ended the thought of an immediate end of the world by nuclear war. A war we thought we have swept under the rug is the war on social injustice. America is the land of the free, because of the great lengths we go to protect ourselves, but as a result we have ostracized our own people and abandoned our founding principals.…

T.W. Sanchez (2008) explains that Oscar Ornati was one of the first to publish research on transportation and poor, which was released in New York City in the late 1960’s. Ornati discussed the challenges that those in poverty have when dealing with the public transportation system, including the difficulty those have when seeking employment.. While his research was well, his location was not. There is and has always been a very large difference between the public transportation in New York City and other U.S. cities, New York has always been ahead of it’s time. This meaning that Ornatis research was unable to represent all of the U.S. and their cities transportation programs.…

Finally, we’ve arrived in the tropics, its so warm here totes going to get my tan on just kidding, I’m an oxygen atom, girl that would be crazy. Oh my gosh so like we have to go through this thing called the Carbon cycle, like ewe I have to be attached to another oxygen atom and a carbon atom. It’s ok though cause at least the other oxygen atom is my friend Becky and she’s totally rad. I should probably tell you how I met this Carbon atom. Well, Becky and I were just chilling, and suddenly we saw these big plumes of fossil fuel, I know crazy right? Instantly Carbon, Becky and I were attached at the hip, we even came up with this really cool group name, Carbon Dioxide. Suddenly we were taken out of the atmosphere and this Orchid like totally used us in this thing called photosynthesis, which is how a plant gets nutrients. Being the building blocks of a plant was one of the strangest things I’ve ever done; we were released back into the atmosphere through another thing called respiration it was nice being back in something familiar.…
