The last jar I filled halfway. One of the full jars I filled with 12 tablespoons of sea salt and mixed it. The other full jar I left with only clear tap water. The jar that was half full I mixed in six tablespoons of sea salt. I put an egg in each jar. After I put the egg in the jar that was half full, I filled the rest with clear tap water so that the bottom half was salt water and the top half was clear tap water. I Recorded the results of each jar and took a picture of each. The jar that was only water: the egg went straight to the bottom. The jar that was all salt water: the egg floated on the top. The jar that was half salt water, half tap water: the egg submerged but stayed perfectly between the salt and tap water. If I were to do this project again in the future, I would use multiple mixtures in the water and test which substances were the most dense.
