1. Why do retailers create assortments for Outlet versus just sending the leftover products? Typically, leftovers products are sent if they are not selling, but not in this case retailers are not going to send their left over products to the outlet stores, because retail products have more quality than the outlet products. On the other hand, at some of the outlets you won’t find anything from the retail divisions at their outlet stores. For example, in the video, the J Crew outlet, they stated that they are exclusively owed, there products are made there outlet store, and they do not receive any retail leftovers. 2. Are Retailers misleading the Outlet customers? (Answer “Yes” or “No” and explain why): Yes, because outlet customers are thinking they are getting the same quality as retailers, but they are actually getting ripped off. Also, outlet customers are thinking they are getting better deals, but they are actually paying for garments they are cheaply made. For instance, Banana Republic, got sued for misleading their customers with cheaply made products.
