Outsiders Book Reports
The Outsiders by, S.E. Hinton was an awesome book that included drama between two groups. Before the book even starts, one of Greasers named, Johnny gets jumped by the Socs. Also, before the book starts, Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry lose their parents because of a car crash. Then, when the book finally starts and all of the characters are announced, the main character, Ponyboy gets jumped by some Socs as well. Then, when the book is about three fourths done, Johnny kills a Soc, named Bob. After that, a church catches on fire and Ponyboy and Johnny go in, but get hurt, and Johnny dies. The tough one, Dally, is so upset about the death of Johnny that he robs a store and lets the police kill him.

There names are; Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally. Ponyboy is 13 and has dark hair until he dyes it blonde. Johnny is 16 and has blackish hair. He is considered the gang’s pet. Dally is 17 and the toughest one of all, and he has already seen the inside of jail.
I have compared this book to the movie, Grease. This is because of the name of the movie and the name of the gang. I also have compared this because, it is in the olden times. Therefore, there are different clothes and no cell phones, etc. Right when I started reading this book, I thought of the movie, Grease.
I would rate this book an 3.5/5. I really liked this book. It was good, I just don’t like reading. I liked it because there was something about it that made me not want to stop reading it. It felt like there was always going to be something exciting happening next. The excitements never ended!
