JUKI MO644D Portable Serger (a number one machine for me).
Juki is a well-known brand that produced high-quality, durable machines. I recommend MO644D Portable Serger because it is the best model I ever saw. Many clothing factories use their products. If you need reliable and long-lasting device look closely to this machine.
Earlier I used one of the Brother machines for a while. When it was out of order, I decided to by Juki, and I’ve never been sorry about it. This serger is easy to operate, and it works perfectly. It is a good choice for beginners who can’t handle with a complex machine with a complicated operation. Of course, you’ll pay a higher price, but it’s worth these investments.
This machine is a multifunctional device produced for industrial use, but now you have an opportunity to enjoy it at home. There are so many valuable features that will help you to implement various projects and work with any fabrics, such as a multi-purpose foot, color coded system and a wide range of presser feet. Juki is suitable for gathering, piping or blind stitch.
Many sergers have one disadvantage. They work too loudly. I had this problem with my previous Brother serger, but Juki works so silently, that even my cat doesn’t run away when I turn it

The occupation of fulling was part of the cloth making process that was important to the refinement of finished cloth. The job consisted of compacting woollen fibers to make the cloth whiter, tighter and more durable. Wool has tiny scales all along the fibers, and when the woven wool is 'worked' by being scoured and beaten, the fibers ratchet together and the cloth becomes more compact and solid. If continued for a long time, the end result is felt for heavy clothing or hats. Woven cloth off the loom, say four to five inches wide, is washed and while still wet, is passed through an 'eye' at the top of the fulling machine. It is then sewn into a loop that may be 30' long. Rollers pull the cloth through the eye and it is 'thumped' by heavy wooden hammers tripped by a rotating drum with pegs on it. The cloth is kept moist and soapy, and is repeatedly passed around this circuit, becoming more compact and narrower in width.…

Never have I woken up faster than getting a phone call at 1am saying, “I need you STAT to H4104!” Racing from the call room to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, I had a million thoughts running through my head. Why is the RN calling me STAT? Is the patient coding? Is the intra-aortic balloon pump I am responsible for not functioning? When I arrive, the patient’s pressures were spiraling downward and the surgeon said he must go back down for surgery. Adrenaline pumping through my veins, I realized this was not an emergency simulation I had been taught – this was real. As soon as we reach the OR, the patient went asystole. Immediately, anesthesia started injecting medications, the OR staff lined up to do compressions and I managed the balloon pump; we…
