Self-easteem is important because it is how the service user sees themself, so it's important because everyone should have self worth. This can make a huge impacted on their mental health which then can influanuce the service users choices that they make in life, when they have no self easteem this can lead them to take negative choices. If the service user has no self easteem they will feel they have no value in life and instead of doing what they want to achieve they will end up going down the wrong route and could end up in a bad place
