First of all, who was this man “Pablo”? Pablo was a twenty year old man from Donna Texas. He had barely returned to his Raymondville home from California. Also, he did not have a very good background to help him in consideration of mercy. Back in Lyford the authorities had linked him with the infliction of serious damage to pigs that were believed to have been used in a satanic ritual.
Not only did he have a bad reputation back in Lyford, but in Donna too. The Donna police, when asked, reported him as a gang member who bragged about drinking blood. So, as you can see Pablo did not have a great background.
Sure this was a surprise to all, but people who are involved in satanic sacrificing don’t always end up doing what’s right in our social and moral standards, for they in their mind justify their wrong doings with idea that they “had to do it because the devil told them so” just as Pablo did. …show more content…
The reason for why this man committed such a horrific crime is not completely known.
There is the theory that it was for a satanic worshiping act. This theory was the one that really shook the community of Donna. Donna Texas is a small town of the Rio Grande Valley that is close to the border of Mexico. It is a town where most of the people are Christians or any other religion that believes in God and thinks he is good and everything that is right. The thought of worshiping the Devil, to them, was a sin and a mixture of fear and uncomfort settled among them. They most likely feared the devil worshipping would become sort of like a trend or a thing that it was already among them secretly, but they just did not know yet, which made it even all more
scary.
The second theory, which seems all the more believable than the devil telling someone to kill a person, was that Pablo was highly under the influence of substances that made him unable to reason completely well.
When Pablo was interviewed he revealed to the police that in the party he had attended he had drank beer and liquor, (and) smoked weed and sniffed cocaine. All of those substances are dangerous to consume because of the simple reason that they mess with the brain.
The brain is a powerful organ. It controlls what we do. When our brains are not functioning the way they are supposed to, then neither are we. Pablo was bound to commit some type of crime, for his brain could not have had possibly been working correctly.
Another theory was that Pablo was mentally ill and that the reason he killed the young boy, David Cardenas. This suggestion truly is a reason with enough
