Money - Important or Not?
A There are many people that think that we are too dependent on money in our society today. They say that people are living their lives around money. Some even go so far as to say that people that are debt free and do not owe money on anything are selfish and the only thing that they care about in their lives is money. They have said that you must have debt to live a happy, fulfilling life and that if you are debt free you are putting money first and most importantly in your life.
B Now, we all know that money is important and that no matter what we think, we have to care about it. Unfortunately, money is a part of our lives. We do not have a choice, but to have a relationship with money. There are things that money is more important than in our lives. We rely on money to be able to give us the things that we must have in our lives in order to survive. We must have food, clothing, shelter and medical care. Without money, we cannot obtain these things and we could end up sick or even dying without them. Any person that says that they do not care about money at all is not being honest. This is like saying that you do not care if you live or not. We rely on money for necessities that are required for life. So, if we do not have money, we cannot get these necessities.
C There is a huge difference between caring about money and being obsessed with money. Yes, we are required to have money to live. However, some people go above and beyond their financial means and limits. They spend money like it is never-ending. They are spending more money than they are bringing in and getting farther and farther in debt. People that are debt free still think about money. They just do not find themselves letting money rule
