understanding of their sports competence. This is an area of research that shows the positive affect and negative affect in a child’s life.
One proposal explanation to what has been famous as an epidemic of "pushy sports parents" is to minimize or disregard parent involvement in their child's sports involvement. The involvement of parents in youth sports and how involved parents should and shouldn’t be. It also provides substantial information on the involvement parents have in their child's extracurricular activities, proving that there can be long-term effects associated whether good or bad. Parental Influence in prepared sports can provide a huge opportunity for young athletes to increase their physical activity and develop physical and social skills. However, when the demands and expectations of organized sports exceed the maturation and readiness of the participant, the positive aspects of participation can be negated. The effects of immaturity on sports participation are more obvious.
When the demands of a sport exceed a child’s mental and physical development the child may develop feelings of failure and frustration. Organized sports for children and preadolescents is not specifically geared to the topic, but it provides information on the opportunity for young athletes and how demanding their parents are towards the sport. Skills can also help parents avoid an increase in child behavior it can also help parents within their parenting skills which is a high demand in this day and age.
