People have became increasingly concerned about either parents or schools should be responsible for children’s awareness of being a qualified citizen. Some might contend that as a place where children can be educated, schools should take the entire responsibility of imparting to student the moral standard and knowledge which is being a good member of society required. Yet in my view, apart from schooling, parents also have duties to teach their kids how to become a civilized man. The details of my argumentation are as follows.
Society is distributed by people, as an education institution with a large number of peers, school is familiar with society in some extent, it is great place where students can experience what does the society look like in advance, thus they can open their eyes and enhance the interpersonal skills, which are what a good member of society required. Secondly, getting learning strategies also contributes one of the critical element over being an well-educated man, for that, schooling is professional to provide these fundamental techniques for children. However, it would be unwise to ignore the inappropriate fats that children are not taken care entirely as much as parenting. As we all know, children undertake parents’ future and hope, so they must be in the spotlight which catching family’s attentions. In other words, the neglect to children cannot happen at home. In the second place, it’s indisputable that parents are man’s greatest teachers, their words and deeds play a vital role which affect children directly and magnificently. In the early year of children, the most necessary for parents is to help children to form the correct sense like what is good and evil, and what is the moral standard. It’s undeniable that moral sense is more critical than getting knowledge and learning skills, we cannot image what will happen if a genius take his talent gift to ruin the computer system.
In the conclusion, both parenting and schooling are indispensable, the former are more concentrating on form an child’s moral sense, and the latter avail for children’s interpersonal contact and getting knowledge.
