Some of my favorite ways to be active outside are snowboarding, surfing, climbing, hiking, running, and camping just to name a few. One of my students once told me that, “there is no growth in the comfort zone, and no comfort in the growth zone.” This really resonated with me and I think about it when I'm experiencing new and unfamiliar situations.
When I need to find peace and clarity in my life, I turn to the outdoors. The fresh air and the scenic landscapes help me to focus on what’s really important in my life, helping to bring gratitude for what I already have. I'm not a very religious person, but I like to say that being in the outdoors is my church. Being one with my surroundings is the best way to go off-the-grid and reconnect with
