Path to Success in College
College is a time unlike any other in your life. Students gain independence, they are in a new place, and their adult life is gradually staring in this phase. They have choices to make, and they know it how it will help him in their future. There is no secret recipe for succeeding in college; everyone does it differently, in a style all their own. College is enjoyable and memorable. It is also demanding and, in many instances, just plain different from high school. It is the time in student’s life when they go through many changes as they prepare for the world of work that follows. . College is not just a choice, it is the managing of time, being advocates for themselves, set an academic goal and take a variety of classes.
A student should avoid procrastinating. College academics, especially in the first and second terms, are not especially difficult. Unlike high school, however, college asks students to build their education from the bottom up, rather than regurgitating whatever facts a teacher feeds them. This often means a bit more work than students are used to. So in order to meet those requirements, they should plan in advance. It is possible for students to fit in all the social, academic, and logistical responsibilities in college and still have time for them. But they do need to plan. Before each week, be realistic about how much time they can devote to social activities and how much time they are going to need to spend writing or crunching numbers because it is not uncommon for professors to move through three, four or more chapters in a week, expecting you to keep up. In addition, more topics are generally covered in greater details. However college professors may go into details on just a few points and expect you to fill in the rest of the details on your own.
