people are so sick and corporations only cares about the money. They rather see people die than lose money by giving that medicine to those sick with something so serious like HIV. Gaylor talks about the medicine to prove a point and show how big corporation work and how is like the music industry. In addition, Gaylor also talks on how people are being sued if not complying with the copyrights laws. In the film Gaylord used Jaime story a single mom that was sued for sharing music. Jaime only shared 24 songs and was order to pay capitol records 220,000 for willful copyright infragment. How can powerful companies sue a low class or middle class people the only thing they are after for is not weather is right or wrong is about money. Jaime did not commit any serious crime and was made to pay capitol; there has been worst cases when kids have been arrested for those copyright laws. Gaylor show kids holding signs saying they are criminals for downloading music. How can a company do that to our children and damaged their record by arresting them just for downloading a few song. That proves on how companies have gone too far. The most important way Gaylor uses pathos is when he shows people parting and dancing to The music that companies see as illegal. He talks about Gregg Michael Gillis(Girl talk) a guy who makes songs by using different pieces of songs something like a remix. Girl Talk have about more than 9 pieces of songs put together as a remix and creates a totally different song. The song has many different pieces of songs it will be hard to know what songs are being used. In the film he shows famous people on his parties or concerts having fun such as Paris Hilton. Gaylor uses pathos trying to demonstrate how can that be consider illegal when all this people and famous are having fun from a song he made by his creativity. It is like a paper done in school Gaylor believe it should be done like that. There should be a spot to give credit to the original owners of the song but not be illegal. He does use other people work but he makes a remix that you won’t even know what songs are there any more. Therefore, Gaylor tries to prove and convince the audience with pathos getting their emotional side.
Gaylor makes the audience feel sad for the people in brazil but also bad and angry on how people are being sued and happy and excitement by watching how people are having fun to his creativity. Other big companies have used other people creations and made it their own. Yet they try to prevent other people the use of theirs by setting copyright laws and there should be a stopped to that. There should be a stop and no longer accept huge corporations damaging kids records and naming them criminals just to become
richer.
