Patient Billing Argument Essay
Mk Ultra was the name given to a terrible illegal program. Human subjects were experimented on by the CIA. It used people not aware of the full facts for test subjects. This included American citizens and Canadian citizens. This experiment used LSD on mental patients, some prisoners, prostitutes, and drug addicts. Not only that their own CIA employees were victims of LSD being admistered to them. LSD is a potent chemical that can change the mood of a person. It has lysergic acid which can be obtained from ergot fungus. It has no odor, color and taste bitter. This acid takes its users on a trip which can last up to twelve hours.

Upcoding scheme and unbundling- this is the practice of raising the prices way up inflating them through the use of a billing code insisting that a patient is in need of more expensive procedures.
There are various cases where judicial corruption has taken place. For this class, the following were covered. Thomas J. Spargo, Thomas J. Maloney, Mark Ciavarella, and Michael Conahan.
Thomas J. Spargo – a former New York Supreme court justice. Around the year 2006, he was removed from his bench after he decided to solicit funds from lawyers during some cases. He received a permanent ban from judicial office. His convictions included extortion and bribery.
Thomas J. Maloney- An Illinois judge, from 1977 to 1991. Once again the problem was bribery the FBI investigated Maloney and convicted of 4 counts of bribery. He ended up serving 13 years in prison.
Mark Ciavarella- he was involved in some fraudulent and dishonest business dealings. The way Ciavarella was racketeering was by receiving approximately $100,000 in illegal payments from Robert Mericle, Who was a PA child care real estate developer and Robert Powell an attorney. Ciavarella was tried for an additional 38 counts for illegal
