Paul wrote two epistle letters to the church in Thessalonica, which were preserved in the New Testament. The first letter, which is called 1 Thessalonians, was written to a community of believers who had been Christians for only a little period of time. The Book of Acts made us to understand that during Paul's stay in the city of Thessalonica, he preached in a Jewish synagogue on three consecutive Sabbath days. He determined to stay in the city for a little period of time, and thereafter continued his work among the Gentiles.
