Teaching has become one of the most demanding occupations and teachers are being required to study and get the knowledge necessary to inter act and be clear with and to students. However teaching cannot be an accident and therefore who wants to teach must not only use the language but also know how to teach it.
Many schools and institutions are getting any international certification which proves their organization and capacity to fulfill what they are offering, so it is mandatory for teachers to get updated and become competent in the field of teaching.
In this first part of the book “Teaching by Principles” we are going to deal and go deeper in some really important principles and intrinsic motivation in the classroom, go to a classroom and observe it trying to get and learn the maximum from it.

TASK 1
Language teachers are constantly making choices during the class. Read carefully the classroom observation (Pgs. 3-9). Then, make a list of five important choices made by the teacher for that particular lesson and explain why she chose to do it.
1. The T begins the class with a small talk
This is the best way to start a class creating a communicative and friendly atmosphere.
2. As she engages students in a small talk, she marks attendance in her class.
Marking attendance is always a moment for students to use their native language, so through small talks is a very good way to keep them focus on speaking English.
