I. Course Description (rationale):
This course aims to help students who need help to speak and to listen English language in a classroom situation. We will focus on these two aspects of the English language since they are necessary to have a conversation, and having conversations (and understanding how they work) is a big part of learning a language. Sometimes when a person, a student, tries to learn a language, it will conclude that maybe it is not getting enough practice in both of these two skills. Speaking wise, the student might discover this because of several reasons: it could be that the teacher overlooks what the students are learning or because the teacher may find it hard to motivate some particular students into speaking a language. It may also depend on how comfortable the classroom situation is for the student (a person does not talk if it is afraid to be mocked or laughed at). Listening wise, it could be because the teacher does not speak English as much or as correctly as it should be for the students to get what it is said. It also depends a lot on the student, how much attention he is paying to what the teacher is saying and how much background knowledge it is gotten when being in the classroom.
This course is only to be seen as a reinforcement course for students that have problems speaking or listening English language in the classroom.

II. Learning Outcomes:

General
By the end of the course, the student must be able to know how to speak and listen correctly in the conversational environment in the classroom. This course is made for encouraging students into communicating more as well as to teach them the

Towards the end of Chapter 4 by Diane Larson-Freeman, she urges readers to “…make the bridge between this book and your teaching situation” (50). This book is a constant reminder for pedagogues and developing teachers to reflect and evaluate their own teaching habits to determine if they are offering students the best possible education. The goal of this method is to increase communicative competence in the second language. This is accomplished through memorization, repetition, and a series of drills that build up and add different skills as student’s progress. In my teaching situations, I use aspects of the Audio-Lingual method, especially in an English Conversation Club I facilitate.…
