Paragraph 1
If I had to choose a career--one that utilized my skill set--I would choose to be a computer technician. As far back as I can remember, computers and technology have always fascinated me. I enjoy the range of problems computers present. At home and at work, people would bring me their computer problems and technology questions to be solved. It wasn't until my friend Gracie said to me, "You know, you should get paid for this." that I realized being paid for performing a passion should be my focus. I knew that I needed to polish up my technical knowledge of computers. I soon enrolled in a Computer Technician course at Penn Foster University, an online career school. Having learned more about PC hardware,
software, and networking issues, I'm eager to apply what I've learned to a career. Here at Computer Repair Store not only can I use what I've learned to help your company, I can also learn new skills from the knowledgeable technicians already working for you.
Paragraph 2
My boss Steven Thorneburg, Head of Marketing, is looking for a punctual assistant to help manage expenses and coordinate his everyday schedule. The pay is very reasonable and the benefits are top-notch. Your experience is well suited for the job. As a cashier and sales clerk you work well with people and money. I know you are reliable and punctual from the five times in a row that you won the employee of the month award and you are the only one in the family--that I know--who is never late to anything. You always say that you don't believe you are capable of much more than a clerks position; you know I don't believe that's true. Sally, you are capable of great things and only limited by your motivation. Although you are modest about your skills, this is the step up you deserve. I hope you decide to pursue this avenue and apply with Mr. Thorneburg.
