People's Quality Of Life During The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution which took place in the 18th century was a pivotal time for most of the world. This revolution brought on the inventions of many different things and helped improve many businesses income and production rate. With the increase in business operations came the increase in urban population. For example, most people created businesses in the cities which brought more people in looking for employment. This caused poor living conditions for many, because they were left with little money and lived in the crowded area of the cities. For example, due to the rise in machinery, farmers were becoming less and less needed. This led to a decrease in income for them, which began to force them to lose their homes. With that being said, most farmers were forced to sell their land to business owners in order to continue to live. Because of this, most were left not only jobless, but also homeless. Many of these unemployed farmers had no other choice but to leave the countryside, and move into the city and join the other low class people in the harsh conditions of a factory. Along with this, many businesses took advantage of the opportunity to have slaves, as it would add to their production and they would have full control over them.
