Perfect Pottery, an autocratic, tall business was just bought out by HBGC. The company has recently made an irreversible switch to using machines in the production line, resulting in the company laying off almost half of its workers. The company is now suffering from staff absenteeism and a spike in defective items.
Because of these changes in the company, several problems have arisen, such as the lowering of morale, as well as the aforementioned absenteeism and defective items. It is also very clear that the businesses tall, autocratic style is a part of the problem. This obviously is a problem, because each defective item is materials and time wasted towards a product that cannot be properly used, so it must be discarded. This waste of material can decrease profit made and business.
A rise in defective items is a big problem for the employer. A rise in defects means material and money is being wasted. While this could be bad for the employee, because they may make less money if the company is earning less revenue, overall, this problem will mainly come back on the employer.
The rise is defective items is mainly caused by the employees. But it could also be a part of the robots problem. If the staff does not know how to properly operate the robots, more problems could occur with manufacturing.
