At the beginning of each year the Tanning Salon Assistant Manager will meet with their head store manager and set their goals for the year. Each manager will evaluate the Assistant Managers by using Management by Objectives (MBO.) The Tanning Salon Assistant Managers will be involved in setting the goals so they agree that the goals are achievable, realistic, specific, concrete, & measurable.
The tasks and duties section of the Job description contain the basis of the evaluation. The following will go into specific expectations and goals the Salon Assistant Manager will be evaluated on. 1. Provide excellent customer service with a smile on a daily basis.
The assistant manager will be evaluated subjectively by ten random customers every month using a five point rating scale. The Goal would be for each assistant manager to be an average of 4 and have zero 1’s and 2’s.

2. Complete required tanning training to ensure customer safety.
There will be an extensive two week tanning training course. The decision of completion is objective because once the employee completes the training they will receive a certificate and be approved to work in the salons.
3. Assign work schedules, following work requirements, to ensure quality delivery of service.
