As previously discussed, you will be giving a presentation concerning the implementation of a web-based performance appraisal system to the vice president of marketing and his team of managers. Provide them with compelling reasons to switch to the new system and provide information on the benefits of the system. It is important that this presentation is successful, so keep them engaged and be prepared to answer questions.
Primary and Secondary Audience
5In order for your presentation to be successful, you first need to be aware of who your audience consists of. Your presentation should be shaped to appeal to your audience’s needs and expectations. In order to do so, you should highlight the benefits that a web-based performance system will have specifically for the marketing department.
The primary audience for your presentation is the vice president of marketing. He will be the one to decide whether or not to accept your recommendations and follow through with the implementation of the web-based performance system. In addition to the vice president, you will have a secondary audience consisting of the residential sales manager, trade sales manager, business intelligence manager, customer service and installation manager, and seven executives. They will be instrumental in implementing the new system by not only being users, but also by providing feedback and ideas to improve upon the system.
