When faced with adversity, opposition, trials and tribulations, the creators capture true tenacity in their stories. The problems authors wrote about have adapted and changed as the years have gone on, but the ability to get up and push forward into a new day even though you know there are obstacles awaiting is everlasting. With such a legacy of determination and resilience, modern day American writers are pushed to the same standards as their predecessors, but even with the continuation of perseverance in literature does the tenacity of our former generations’ culture transfer into ours?
