Book Report The title of the book is: How to Win Friends & Influence People in the Digital AGE by Dale Carnegie & Associates. Dale Carnegie was an American writer. He is known for writing books on self- improvement and interpersonal skills. It’s still one of the most popular selling books in today’s market. Carnegie changed his last name as a way to make a statement. It was well received. His first book was about public speaking. Although people consider How to Win Friends & Influence People in the Digital Age was considered to his best Work. The basic theme of the book is that to make friends and influence people, one should not antagonize nor control people. This is undoubtedly a universal truth. Real friends don’t do these types of things. It's easy to see why this advice would come as a revelation to many nowadays. Today, winning friends or influence people has changed from how it was back then. Carnegie ideas still apply but not all people use the same way. After reading this book you should have a better understanding on what things help you in the professional and business word to make these two events happen. “Precision of communication ties in with the overall them of this book. In the first part of the book Carnegie describes basic steps on handling people. Complaining or making fun of something is one of the topics discussed. Give truthful genuine appreciation. Excite in the other person a willing want. Complaining or make fun of something never helps you gain or influence someone. It will probably do the opposite and make them not want to get to know. It could cause the person to never speak about how the feel because you put them down. By giving positive appreciation it will make that person believe the can complete the task. They won’t give up so easily. “If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread they can make something out of you”.
