Personal Narrative: A Day At Excalibur Hotel
When I arrived at Excalibur Hotel, their porter carried my luggage and carry-on bag to my room.

My friend recently bought a laptop as it was portable; he could bring the laptop with him anywhere easily without the weight straining his arms.

Today, the city council announced their biggest project: to extend their national park's size to one mile long and two miles wide.

At twilight, I will attend my friend's wedding as his best man, but he wants me to be present

Jeannette and her other two siblings are on their own for eight weeks while Rose Mary go away to renew her teaching certification and Rex know where to be found. “I worked up a budget and calculated that we could indeed squeak by if I made extra money babysitting (The Glass Castle pg209). Rose Mary only leaving two hundred dollars for food, leaves Jeannette stuck with budgeting and making sure her, Maureen and Brian eat. This indicates the struggles that she and the siblings had to go through while not having their parents around to guide them or be financially good. The walls siblings had to depend on each other for survival while her mom was away at school and the dad asking for money for beer and cigarettes.…

To complete the property tour, we looked at the bedroom, comfortably proportioned for a queen sized bed and a floor-to-ceiling closet with a large window facing Paolina Park. The attractive bathroom was functional and came equipped with all the essentials. Lastly, we looked at the garage. Maria Laura informed us that Italians refer to a garage as a “car box”. The car box was large enough to accommodate a mid-sized car, a workbench, and storage for tools and seasonal items. I was overjoyed…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

This is a picture of me at my favorite surf spot Kona Inn. I was introduced to this spot by my gregarious friend Logan Mccollum. During the production of his bodyboarding video I fell in love with the wave. At first, I was too frightened by the shallow, very jagged reef but soon I began to grow very passionate about these sort of waves. My friends and I would surf this spot and feel like it was our second home. People were hardly ever in the water and most that knew about Kona Inn knew how secret people kept such a discretion about it. Over the years I surfed this spot, it always amazed me how other spots wouldn't have any waves but Kona Inn would. Whether there was waves or not and Kona Inn, Id always have fun reminiscing how some of the best waves I've ever seen came onto this little reef.…

Las Vegas is exactly what I thought it would be in so many ways. I never thought a place could live so fully up to its famous and infamous reputation. From the slot machines to the nudity. Its almost like the entire place just never found its filter. "Southern Hospitality" was null and void and I'm guessing never even heard of let alone considered. Its just the complete rawness was something I'm not used to it at all. In the south everyone is so much more conservative and worried about what they look like in other people's eyes. It just seems like everyone there was so much more worried about themselves and their own lives they didn't have time to be worried with others. There was also this sense of togetherness and understanding. Not necessarily…

One of the main reason I’m interested in Eau Claire is because they have Actuarial Science classes and that is what I’m considering going into. On my college tour I met with Herschel Day and was very impressed with the curriculum and what Eau Claire has to offer. An aspect I like about Eau Claire is the small class sizes of about 27. I also like the campus atmosphere and the layout because it isn’t spread out and it is generally centralized. This was nice because it created its own community feeling that is hard to find.…

The clock above my head ticks slowly, the sound ever increasing as the minutes pass by; tick, tick, tick. I normally do not notice the time while I work, usually I am the energizer bunny of workers, in early, out late, always working or willing to, but that day was different; I had a date; a first date to be exact. Finally the time has come for me to go home; I step out into the warm Vegas air, I can smell the familiar scents of fall slowly encroaching on the city. September in Vegas is typically warm, with the average daily temperatures in the upper nineties. I lite a cigarette and walk through the parking garage to my car. My mind was racing; what will he be like, will he be funny, boring; I even allow my thoughts to drift to what he would look like naked.…

It was mid June I remember and out here in Las Vegas that meant intense heat. Here we were two 15 year olds out on the streets with a baby on the way. Trying to keep cool was harder than I thought. We both were hungry, tired, and scared. I never imagined my self in that situation at such a young age. We walked and walked all over looking for somewhere to sleep. When we finally found somewhere to sleep outside of a church, my whole life flashed by as I layed there.…

Escapade. Trying new things seems to be the theme of the summer so far. I began with a hike up to the top of mount Charleston, about 20 miles in length. While it was difficult, and we became lost at points, we made it to the top. I have also began taking summer classes at a duel credit high school/ college, which is something that I have never done before. In addition, I have begun driving, which gives me more freedom to go anywhere that I please. One of the last new things that I will try is dying my hair a strange color for a few weeks. For these reasons, I am having the summer of…

WHOOSH! AHHHH! Music to my ears. As I walked around trying to find The Beast, I could smell grease from the food booths. I could already feel my skin searing from the bright hot sun. Tears pouring down off my face, I can gradually visualize my fate. I can hear the footsteps slowly and slowly dissolve. Overhearing the rasping voice of Montressor, I had concluded, I, myself have been deceived. As my belligerent attitude gets in the way, I started grappling the chains violently. I was desperate for assistance, but being forceful and dependent will not be expedient. As I try struggle to be nonchalant, my satisfaction to get vengeance tenfold. If I could make a club that would help alleviate people’s frustrations, it would be known as the Luxury Club. Within this club, members get to relieve their stress and frustrations by doing things such as shopping, traveling, and etc. I consider this as luxury, because everyone’s financial capabilities vary, therefore not everyone can afford to shop, travel, or eat at a nice place often. For me, I get frustrated when things don’t go the way I want them to. Shopping helps me relieve this emotion by making me feel like things are going my way whenever I purchase items that I want. In a way, it also makes me feel as though I’m getting my life together when in reality I’m not. Because there are billions of people in the world, I know that there…

He always said he wanted to go out with a bang, I didn’t realize that meant literally. I remember the sound of the gun piercing through the crisp night air then the thud that followed. I remember seeing his body lying still with that signature sly smile creeping from the corner of his mouth as if he had just told a joke. His eyes were closed, dark red blood pouring out his chest and mouth, staining his clothes, sinking into the sand of the beach around him. I remember the screaming ambulance taking his pale corpse away. I remember going back to the cabin up the road and getting out the Phrontistery, finding his note tucked away in the back cover. “Travel for me”, it said. “Goodbye, kid”, it said.…
