Personal Narrative Essay: Mitsu's Role In Basketball
Mitsu entered the basketball gym, watching as the players played scrimmage games against their teammates. She listened to the screeching of the shoes on the court and bouncing of the balls. Mitsu always loved the how the gym sounded when the team was in here practicing. She walked through the sidelines of the courts, she made her way to her usual spot on the bench. Mitsu watched Kasamatsu as he practiced, moving swiftly with the ball, making his 3 point shots, blocking people as they tried to get open with the ball and make a shot for the opposing team. It was a routine now, straight after student council meetings Mitsu would head straight over to the gym to watch Kise and Kasamatsu practice a bit and the three of them would walk home together. …show more content…
As they were passing by a few fancy restaurants, in the corner of her eye Mitsu noticed the familiar blonde hair enter into the building but quickly focused on a boy running out into the street for a ball. His mother distracted on something else. She saw the car coming, not stopping for him. She hopped over the railing and ran toward him at full force. “Is the boy okay? Is he hurt?” She asked, barely managing to speak. Kasamatsu bit his lip, holding back the tears.

“Yeah..He’s okay.” He said, now cradling her body. “Mitsu..Stay with me okay? Help is coming..” Mitsu gave him a pained chuckle.

“Y-You finally...called me..by my fi.rst name.” She choked out.

“You idiot..stop talking nonsense and save your strength.”

“My body..hurts so much..”

“Shhh, I know..”

Kasamatsu had contacted Kagami and Kuroko and they were on their way here. He sat in the waiting room chairs, still wearing his school uniform covered in Mitsu’s blood. He felt so useless. He buried his head in his hands, quietly

I decided to advocate to the coach about my involvement in the practices as a player. As I walked into the hot and humid office of the coach, I waited until he was not as busy with his work. As the fan turned, he finally stopped what he was doing, “What’s up, Ariana?” the coach voiced. I explained my aspirations to play basketball. As I spoke, I watched his face, trying to get a sense of what he was thinking. After I stopped talking, I waited for his answer. He moved around as if it would help him figure out what to say when he knew his answer was…

It was winter season and that meant basketball. This year was special because I got to play for Davidson Day’s seventh and eight-grade team. See at our school the middles school ran through 5th to 8th. The middle school basketball teams were divided into a 5th-6th-grade team and a 7th 8th grade team. This season was different; we would play more games and different teams. Also we got a new coach and older teammates. Tryouts were rough; the older kids were picking on the 7th graders constantly. I was the only one they liked because I was good. The season got even worse. The 7th graders never played in the games and sometimes in the locker room older kids would yell at us for messing up. This was horrible to watch and be apart of.…

Since I was 7 years old, basketball has played an integral part of my life. I have devoted countless hours to not just a sport, but a passion, an outlet; to the game that I love. When I arrived at Bow Middle School as a fifth grader, my classmates and I would always look up to the 7th and 8th grade middle school basketball teams. Every year during winter carnival, the boys and girls teams would play a game in front of the entire school. Playing in that game became a dream and a goal of mine, but first I would need to make the team. For three years I developed my basketball skills, using my passion for the sport and desire to play in that game as motivation. When tryouts for basketball in 8th grade drew near, I knew I was ready. However a new coach would be at the helm this year. Our new basketball coach was also a coach for the youth football program. This resulted in numerous football…

I used to be an all season sport player, but now I am only going to be a ¾ season sport player. I played all the sports that I could, football, basketball, and baseball. Now I only do football, basketball, and track. I like baseball, I’m just not good at it. Fielding, throwing, and catching I can do, I just can’t hit, and I don’t want to be the one to get out when I have enough power to drill it out to center field, and then see the disappointment on my teammates faces.…
