So the kittens very excitedly went to the closet, next to the pantry, and began to get ready for even more play time, and they put all their outside clothes on, they put on their hats, then they went to put on their mittens... but they were gone, so they went to cry to their mother and said “We three little kittens, lost our mittens, and we began to cry, “Oh mother dear, look here, our mittens we have lost” and our mother said, “Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens, now you shall have NO pie!” So the kittens did not get their special prize, which was pie, oh did these kittens love pie, and I mean they really love …show more content…
“That’s a good question, Brady,” I told him.
When we were looking in the closet, Sadie wandered off and I saw her in front of the pantry.
“Detective,” Sadie said, while tugging on my jacket, “Look here, our mittens had fuzzies on them, and there’s some fuzzies just like it on the pantry door.” Sadie talked so softly compared to her siblings, but her senses were very sharp, she is one clever kitten.
I opened the door, and right next to the pie ingredients was... the three little kittens lost mittens. The kittens all cheered and screamed, for they had found their mittens. Little did they know, not only did we find the mittens... but I solved the mystery of who hid them.
I left the kittens to their whooping, and hollering, and I went to find Averie. She was not far, she was only in the living room, watching a show.
I said to her, “Averie, I know that you hid their mittens, and I know why... I figured it out as soon as we found a fur on the closet, much darker than the triplets’, it was yours. Then we found the mittens by the pie ingredients, and you were making pie. I know that you did it because you wanted more pie.”
“Wow...you are on great detective. Do they know yet?” Asked
