Personal Narrative-How To Ride A Red Bike
The day was hot and humid or, maybe it was cold and wet best a good memory all the same. I had just turned the ripe age of 8 although I really didn't feel like it . My one and only gift I wanted was a red bike without the training wheels but I really don't know how to ride a bike. The only thing stopping me was I did not know how to ride so the fear of falling was bottomless. I was more than willing to learn on the outside. My father saw this and said “ fears is only in your head” also my dad like to quote stuff he's seen on tv. I flashed him a fake smile and hopped on the bike with my father holding me up. We started off slow so i could get the hang of it. My body was trembling as we speeded up I gripped the handlebars tighter as I hands

It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. I broke my arm today while getting on the freight train. Thank God I still have an arm unlike some of the other I have meet who have lost an arm or leg and some even know someone who has lost their life ( Riding the Rails). I have done this a couple of time now and I shouldn't have been so anxiety about it but I was. I hide under the track outside the yard like I normally do, waiting for the train to reach momentum so I could get on. I forgot to check for the bull guards who are hired to keep hoboes from jumping on freight. I guess I got too comfy with my environment( Riding the rails). Right when I was getting on the trains, I heard the bull guards yelling and chasing after me. It threw me off my balance and I nearly fell off the train. I…

I used to love reading. In kinder and first, my nose was stuck in a Magic Tree House book. Third, fourth, and fifth grade I basically lived at Hogwarts (in my rightfully sorted house, of course, I am a proud Hufflepuff). And in middle school, I discovered THE tween series of my generation, Maximum Ride. Reading was exciting, and even though I had done it for years every time I picked up a book it felt so novel. I was your ordinary bookworm until seventh grade when the joint power of Ms. Green’s teaching and James Patterson’s writing broke my will to read.…

I was the only kid that year who got a bike and could not ride it. All of my hope and dreams of riding alongside my siblings and friends turned to dust. You see, out of all of my friends I was the only one who did not grasp the concept. Every day after school the kids would zoom by me on their bicycles and there I sat pushing my bike along. After months of pushing my bike, this one summer day I was pushing my bike down the street as I usually did, and my grandmother who unknowing to me had been watching me out of the front door came over to me and said today is the day that you stop pushing this bike. The lesson started my grandmother helped me on the bike and walked along side me holding me up so I could keep my balance, when she let go…

As we grow older we tend to forget the memories that brought us the most happiness; looking back I would have never thought one of these memories would be the start of a new passion. It all started on my sixth birthday, my parents had brought me to the local motocross track, and this probably was a big mistake on their part. After seeing the dirt bikes flying through the air and the smell of the bikes as they had just been started, I knew this was my passion and desire to become the best motocross racer I could be. Begging for that first motorcycle everyday before my birthday. Finally the big day came, my sixth birthday, most kids would ask for a toy gun or something to play in a sand box. I decided a dirt bike was on my wishful list to mom and dad. I can remember opening up gifts inside, clothes from gram and papa, toys from family friends, and everything but that dirt bike I wanted oh so badly. Finally mom and dads gifts came, I opened them all up but wasn’t getting any hints that I had a marvelous masterpiece of machinery waiting for me somewhere, just somewhere I hoped. My parents tricked me thinking I hadn’t gotten a moms worst nightmare of a gift. But, I can tell you, It didn’t go unnoticed. After I realized opening the wrapping paper was the best thing I got to experience I made my way outside. I stepped off the deck not expecting what I was about to see; there it was, a brand new Yamaha PW 50 with all the amenities a six year old could possibly want. The bike was a pearl white that shined in the sunlight, I can remember looking at the black wheels like they were made of pure gold. The bike was just what I had been dreaming about for many, many nights. Who knew that still today, I would feel the same way receiving a new bike year after year, the experience hasn’t changed I have just learned to appreciate the endless amounts of time, and thousands of dollars my parents…

It was summer time and I was wearing my West Scranton football shorts and shirt, it was a normal day in the summer I was sitting in my living room with the air conditioner turned all the way down to 60 to get a cool breeze. I was watching Iron man but I really was not that into I kept drifting off and thinking what I should do with my day. My older brothers Shawn and Anthony came to the door around 2 in the afternoon and asked me if I wanted to go swimming. I quickly galloped up the stairs and asked my mother if I could go, she said yeah just be safe. So we left and went to a place called the “Rez” it was a place where high school and college kids go to jump off rocks and have a good time, it was a nice area surrounded by…

“Wait up you two!” my dad exclaimed, but I barely heard him because it seemed like he was a mile away. My brother and I started out on a twisty ride that would eventually turn us upside down. The line was very blunt, and in about 15 minutes, I found myself plopping down in the comfy seat of the ride. The ride started by pointing straight down and proceeded right into the 360 degree turn. After that thrill of a lifetime, we went on the whole day shopping and going on as many thrilling rides as we could, while also looking at all of the amazing other things the park had in store for us. At around 8:30 P.M, just an hour before it closed, my dad decided that it was time to leave and go back home. I found myself staring up at all of the amazing things, and begging my dad if we could come back one…
