Personal Narrative: Mt. Edgecumbe High School

One early morning I experienced the unexpected, which changed my perspective of life and how fast things can go bad. Everything went into slow motion, a few seconds felt like one minute; I would have never seen this coming in such a short time. I was tired and my face was numb; I forgot my face mask at my uncle’s house. I wasn’t in any rush to get home but the wood stove and my comfortable bed was a pleasing thought. The headlight on my snowmobile was only shining about ten feet in the distance when a giant moose stepped out in front of me. I immediately pulled my breaks, but it was too late to avoid contact. I was looking up at the towering moose; ready to fly forward all I could think about is how to survive this situation. My body became calm and everything went quiet. Then all of a sudden the big hooves came crashing down just
I have set goals to get the best out of my education for a better future. I realized that the school at my hometown wasn’t going to cut it for me. I made a choice to apply for Mt. Edgecumbe High School, which would teach me independence, get used of dorm life, and take classes I need and want to take that isn’t offered at my old school. I was ecstatic to be accepted into this boarding school and I believe that it is the best high school in the state. It gave me more challenging math classes and the teachers are more clear and easier to understand, making the subjects easier to learn than at my previous school. There is also a more diverse selection of science classes. In addition I feel that the english classes are taught a lot better. I deeply acknowledge the way Mt. Edgecumbe High School operates and I am proud to be a Brave. Now at my second year at Mt. Edgecumbe High School I will be taking an Introduction to Law Enforcement class to start on one of my goals. I want to become a part of law
