On Friday, March 8, 2013, I was involved in an automobile collision in my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. The time was approximately 6:45 a.m. The account number related to this vehicle is 78811654. I was coming to a stop at a red light at the intersection of Stark St. and Liberty Ave., and then a grey 1996 Ford F-150, Oregon plate 364 EUC, driven by Alex Johson rear-ended me. Mr. Johson seemed unaware that the light at the intersection had turned red, and failed to come to a complete stop. The impact was not severe, but my car will need repairs to the rear bumper, trunk, and driver’s side taillight. I have enclosed photos of both cars after the impact, and Mr. Johson’s insurance information. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am available Monday-Friday, 5 p.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Thank you for your assistance.…

Since the age of sixteen, I always wanted to get my drivers license. I though it was the coolest achievement ever in life. I also thought how awesome it would be driving to school instead of taking the school bus or being able to go on that date. Furthermore, not depend on my parents driving me somewhere. After years of asking for rides and not being able to do what I want, I finally got motivated to get my license.…

The narrative, The Driver’s Seat struck home for me because I just received my driver’s license this past May, 2015. I took time for me to actually drive and to become comfortable behind the wheel of a car. This piece of writing spoke to me and allowed me to review some of the identical thinking points that I went through while getting to the point of taking control of my dad’s car. The story effectively walked me through the trials of spirit and mental anguish that preceded me in taking hold of the vehicle with my dad as the co-pilot giving directions. This was the exact thing the driving instructor in The Driver’s Seat‘ taught the author. The routine of how to maneuver and throw caution to the wind- taking risks- to get the author over…

I love Uber because it is the most convenient, cost-effective and safest way to move around the city; providing excellent customer service by handling riders' issues or complaints. I always encourage my friends to use the service and I was really happy when Uber came to Windsor because I missed the ride convenience I enjoyed while living in Toronto. Working here will be a dream come…

My white knuckles clutched the wheel as my little car whined and jerked into high gear, finally accelerating onto Six Forks. Barely a mile from home, and driving was already intimidating. My credentials were impeccable. I had passed a dreadful thirty hour class with a teacher whose voice carried to the moon and proven my driving prowess to a cartoonish instructor sporting a beret, plaid shirt, corduroy jacket, billowy pants, and a pair of suspenders. A pair of rimless spectacles made his eyes appear small and beady while accentuating his pudgy face. There was no conceivable reason to be nervous, but I could not shake the grim sense of foreboding that hovered over me.…

It was a nice, sunny day. Windows down and the stereo up. Going down the highway at about 75 in the middle of the day! All was well until she looked into her rearview mirror; the blue lights were high on her trail. She pulled over, the officers came to her window, is there a problem sir? Ma’am you were speeding he says. Oh I didn’t realize I was the woman said. The officer asked her for her license and she replied, I would give it to you but I don’t have it. Why don’t you have it, he asked? Well, she says, I lost it 4 times for drunk driving. He then wanted to see her registration but she didn’t have that either. She says, ya see officer I stole this car and I killed and hacked up the owner. His body parts are in a plastic bag in the trunk…

It is illegal to drive on the wrong side of the road. Everyone that drives and anyone with common sense knows that. Martinez was due in court on September 29th for being charged with possession of ecstasy, as the article states. This wouldn’t be the first time he was placed before a judge. The article clearly gives a few of the charges on Martinez’s record such as battery, drug possession, and grand theft. This man had drugs in his possession and a record to go along with his name. That makes me wonder how exactly he got onto the expressway and if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Had he survived, I feel as though he would be charged with driving under the influence and, if his recklessness had resulted in any fatalities, vehicular manslaughter.…

Our family car was a very reliable bronze Nissan Murano, this car had been part of the family for at least 5 years, it had taken us to Mcdonald’s trillions of times. However much we loved this car for it’s design, it would not save us from what was in our fates on that particular day. My mom, brother and I were on our way to one of my friend’s house and he lives approximately 15 minutes out of California, Missouri if you take the highway. I felt like I was in the back of a cop car. There was a divider between the driver and I, I couldn’t roll down my window, I couldn’t open my door. The time when my fifteen year old daughter wrecked my car. On this day I had a doctors appointment so I decided to pick Brittany up from school and take her with me. We arrived at the doctor's office on time, now keep in mind it's cold in most doctor's office, so I suggested that if she got cold she could go set in the car so I gave her my keys. The nurse called back to see the doctor, Brittany remained in the waiting area. Twenty minutes had pasted and the nurse was knocking on the examination room door, I stated "come in", the nurse opened the door and Brittany was standing there looking like she had seen a ghost, she was shaking and crying, however, she didn't make a sound. By this time I'm nervous and really need to know what happen. Brittany couldn't speak the nurse went to get her some water to com her down. I started thinking what could this child have done in twenty minutes of being out of my site.…
