My first motive for writing is to graduate. This means I know the more work I put into my writing and specifically my effective writing class, the easier and more impressive my writing will become. I am positive in my four years at Bridgewater College I will find myself writing many papers. While I am a firm believer in learning from my own mistakes I also have the personality type to help people. I enjoy and find myself easily writing about any obstacles that have turned me towards the right path. With this in mind the motive of teaching a lesson can stem from wanting to relieve stress. Ranting is probably the easiest form of self-expression in a frustrating situation. I can teach myself a lesson on how I grew from an issue through a written rant, the easiest form of self expression, and going back once the problem is resolved and reflecting.
