I am very structured and organized when writing my essays. Instead of starting with a thesis, I write from the very beginning to the end. This writing process only causes issues when I am writing a paragraph and I start thinking and having ideas for another different paragraph. To fix this issue, when I start drifting off topic I plot down as much of the ideas I can in a separate paragraph and come back to it later. I generally do not write outlines, but write a complete rough draft first. Because of this, I usually write more than I need to, and must then cut out unnecessary sentences from my papers.
