Personal Narrative: My Writing History
My writing history is all over the place. I took Honors English my eleventh grade year, and loved it but took AP English my senior year and hated it. Mr. Palmer, who taught honors, was my favorite English teacher. He let us write about whatever came to mind on Fridays, whether we were ranting about classes or just had a fun story to tell. My favorite part about him is that he actually taught me how to write. My AP teacher did not improve our writing but only critiqued it. In my opinion, you can always learn how to write better. Even with being in AP I wish she fixed my writing more than just giving me a grade. More than half our students failed the English exam and the national average was a 2 on a scale of 5. My life consist of books, coffee, sass, talking A LOT, grey's anatomy, tattoos, and inappropriate language. I love trying new things that challenge me, or make me question my intelligence. I'm a triplet, (one boy, and one girl) with an older sister who is a nursing major like I am. And no we are not identical, I get that question more than often. My older sister, who copied my major, goes to Widener University, my brother goes to Temple for business/sports, and my sister goes to New York film academy for acting school. I room with my absolute best friend from home, which is amazing. Audra is like having a little piece of home away from home. Home is just an hour away about 20 minutes from reading, PA. I am a nursing major, and nursing is my dream job. That is all I've ever wanted to do in my life. I picked nursing over other health careers because I find nurses to be the most personal with patients. My plan is to graduate from Drexel with a BSN in nursing, be a RN, and go into the army for nursing. When I come home, I will get my master's in nurse practitioner, and specialize in trauma or surgical nursing. I can be considered ambitious, but nerdy. I love talking about any science and I’m a very curious person. Writing isn’t a part of my major but it is pretty relaxing. I would still like to improve my writing to make myself a better balanced student. What I would like to know most about writing is how to write a good thesis, and
