I went back to public school for 10th grade instead of continuing cyber school and even continued to participate in the color guard, where I made most of my friends. Halfway through the summer following the end of 10th grade, I had decided to take some dual enrollment classes at a nearby community college. The public school I planned to attend refused to give me credit if I took those classes. With great confidence in my abilities to do well in a college-level class and the realization of how much the school was holding me back, I made the decision to go back to cyber school. That decision gave me the opportunity to do so many things that I would not have been able to do in public school; I had more hours available to volunteer and have a job. Most importantly, it provided me with the opportunity to graduate early. However, this decision was far more difficult than the idea to switch to cyber school. I asked friends and family for opinions and even created a pros and cons list. It took me several weeks to finally come to a decision: I was going to graduate a year early. Eventually it came down to a gut
