I remember having to travel all the way out an hour and thirty minutes to get to a charity hospital. Slidell does not have many options for people with no insurance or low income, and thats coming from a personal point of view. There was not a planned parenthood, free clinic or anything in that sense with a minimum copay. As a matter of fact if we needed to go to the doctor for any reason we had to travel to a different city to see the doctor at a reasonable price with no insurance.
