Personal Narrative: The Artificial Skin
It was a regular Saturday morning, I was browsing through the day’s newspaper, the news entitled ‘Acid attack survivors’ grabbed my attention and I ended up reading the whole news. And as my thoughts were with the victims, two facts the cutting edge technology at this point of time laid forward stroke in my mind. First, how it gave the victims new lives and second, how the survivors could have their burned areas concealed with the artificial skin which to some extent restored their beauty and confidence too. But, what exactly was the artificial skin? The question kept on haunting me every now and then. Not to mention, I had never heard about the so called artificial skin before that instance. Well, I could not wait but find out what truly is
