With both social work and forensic psychology, the overall goal is to help people. As a state case worker I’d help children and/or the elderly in unhealthy situations get into much better places, it would be my job to advocate for them. A forensic case manager helps rehabilitate people as they leave prisons, in that case I’d advocate for them. In both careers my job would be to give people the best possible chance in life. A criminal profiler would help find and prosecute criminals while also protecting people who need help or unlikely to be a repeat offender. …show more content…
While I was a sophomore in high school, I planned and organized a youth activity to help elderly neighbors with house and yard work. Later that year I was also inducted into the National Honor Society, which I remain in throughout the rest of high school. After high school and I once I was settled, I started the process of becoming a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Utah. I’m a mentor to a eleven-year-old girl, though our relationship is still rather new, we spend time together a few times a month and we will continue to for at least a year, if not for much more than
