Personal Statement: A Career As A Healthcare Administrator
In one to five years I would like to be established and working in a medical facility as an administrator. I am currently studying in the medical industry and would like to work in a hospital setting of the administration department. The role of a hospital administrator is involved with the operations, technology and other programs developed and practice by the facility. I would like to explore, embrace and share the different services that can be provided to the patients and community at and around the facility.
Qualifications that I already possess are experience in a medical facility setting, certificate completion for HIPPA requirements and in a Bachelors program for healthcare administration. Other skills, knowledge, certifications or training that is needed are the following completion of a master’s degree program in order to advance from hospital manager to administrator. Other skills would include management experience, knowledge of managing finances, public relations and training on local, state and federal medical laws and policies.

It would be best to move up within ranks at a facility and learn the daily operations, financial aspects and procedures of the facility. The best way to achieve my goals would be to start as a clinic manager and move up the chain of command. Another great aspect that will help is to obtain my master’s degree after completing my current bachelors program. This could give me the stepping stones needed to achieve my goal within five-year time

Waking up in the middle of the night coughing and gasping for air occurred on a regular basis for me as a child. I slept with an inhaler and a nebulizer next to my bed in the event of the next attack. My asthma attacks were frightening for my parents and especially for me as I felt as if I was on the verge of death whenever I suddenly could not breathe. Although I was always in and out of emergency rooms and doctor visits at a young age, having tried everything from nebulizer treatments to bronchodilators, I was always comforted by the doctors and nurses who always took the time to explain and alleviate any concerns and anxiety I had. Seeing their devotion to their profession and for patient care has motivated me to pursue graduate study in the field of nursing to invest my future to coordinate and implement quality healthcare for others.…
