Personal Statement: Part C. Secondary School Math Contest
With a deep love of mathematics and physics, I am never satisfied with an easy answer that a formula would determine; I look for a true and contextual understanding of how mathematical methods are derived. In my free time, I enjoy solving past math contests and find great satisfaction in conquering “Part C” problems. As a senior member of my school’s math club, I have represented my school at the B.C. Secondary School Mathematics Contest and consistently earn top scores on monthly Canadian National Mathematics League contests. I have ranked annually in the top 25% of all contestants in the University of Waterloo Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Mathematics Contest.
