As a rising senior, the past three years of my academic career have centered on all aspects of the sciences. And although I don't regret any of the classes I have taken throughout college, I feel bound and restricted to a set curriculum. It's a feeling I want to break out from because I believe college can offer me so much more than just my studies. I've taken part in many extracurricular activities but at the same time I still feel unsatisfied because there are so many more things I want to experience before I graduate. There is one particularly rewarding experience that continues to drive me to go outside the boundaries of academia. This past summer of 2006, I traveled to Costa Rica and Nicaragua to take part
