College Admissions Essay: My Personal Life Goals
I was raised with the beliefs that there is an importance of having security in all aspects of life, whether that is financial, physical, or emotional. These were, and still are, the ultimate objectives I have for myself and every action I take and have taken has been formed around this sentiment. My parents taught me that “dreams are the touchstones of our character” and that it is important to dream big while remaining clear on goals and realistic with decisions. On the path to deciding my future, their advice remains with me and assists in establishing myself in the goals that I have set.

The first stepping stone I aim to cross is perhaps the largest, as my future education will decide my career and the aspects that result accordingly.

As early as middle school, I had begun volunteering my time for the various events my church held and I chose to continue with this throughout my high school career in my involvement with key club, national honors society, and even in the Distributive Education Clubs of America. I can’t imagine a point in my life where I wouldn’t be involved in some form of community service. In

college, I plan to join the Circle K organization where I will be able to meet like-minded people while assisting others and make the necessary connections for continuing this beyond college.

My personal life goals largely coincide with those that will result from my career. My greatest goals is to be debt free and financially independent because this will enable me to worry less and enjoy life unabridged. I would be able to travel the world and experience different cultures with my sisters, as we have planned since childhood. My goals afford me the luxury of being able to devote more time to my family, my community and the world around me.

Ultimately, my goals are to enjoy life to the fullest with my family by my side, enabled by having a good job, through vigorous education, that provides me with the ability to achieve financial, emotional, and physical security and help other do the
