Dear Mr. Finn:
America will never forget the tragic event that occurred September 11, 2001. The country lost thousands of people including police and firefighters. Since the event, the president has deployed thousands of military to Iraq and Afghanistan to protect our country from incurring another event such as the one on September 11th. As of today, there are approximately 38,000 soldiers still in Afghanistan. Our foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, was created to raise awareness and to enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured military members in Afghanistan and other countries.
At Wounded Warrior Project, our mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. To do so we have instilled five core values – fun, integrity, loyalty, innovation, and service. Wounded Warrior Project offers programs that aid in sharpen mind, body, help empowerment, and also engagement. One program, the Combat Stress Recovery Program, helps overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder. Another program, Warriors to Work, has been established to help warriors with economic empowerment by giving them employment opportunities. In addition, warriors that have been injured and are interested in rebuilding their body by rehabilitation can join the four day cycling event, Solider Ride. We also have an Alumni Program which currently has close to 24,000 participants. This Alumni Program gives wounded warriors the opportunity to give advice and support to fellow wounded warriors.
A tax deductible donation will enable our project to assist thousands of injured warriors and also their families who have been impacted as a result of loss or injury of a loved one. With several different payment options, donating is effortless. Wounded Warrior Project is backed by the Better Business Bureau and guarantees that your money will go
