There are many unjust laws in today’s world, one of them being the legalization of same-sex marriage. Christians stand firm in my religion when it says, “Marriage is between a man and a woman.” The nation --- our pledge of allegiance that we say every day --- was founded “under God”, and God says that marriage is between ONLY a man and a woman. The constitution was written “in the name of God”, where the law of legalization of same-sex marriage rests. Same-sex marriage was legalized by President Barack Obama in January of 2013. Obviously, taking that approach helped Obama win the election, as he sits in the White House to this day. Obama followed public opinion, but, personally, this is not a good reason for him to take to promote this law because when he does this, he not only makes a certain group of people pleased, he makes another group of people angered and disgusted. The question that comes to mind across the country now is: “What will children think when they see two women or two men walking around holding hands, kissing, etc?” Plainly the answer is they will be confused and look up at their mom and dad and say, “Mommy, Daddy, why are those two boys holding hands?”, or, “Mommy, Daddy, why are those two ladies holding hands?” They will be confused, causing the parents to have to find an untruthful answer to tell their children. Later on, they might question their own sexual preference, which can lead to bullying, abuse, etc. In conclusion, many people have been arguing the legalization of same-sex marriage. Some believe that it was because Obama wanted voters and supporters for the upcoming election. The conflict this creates with religious and even non-religious people is that they think that liking someone of the same gender is “disgusting and revolting”, and
