I personally do a cleanse every few months to reboot my body. The week before your event, skip the breads and pastas, eat lots of raw vegetables and salads, and drink at least eight ounce glasses of water a day. Your energy will be through the roof and you'll be looking slim and trim.

I personally like to have live foods in the morning. This is the ultimate pick me up try it for 10 days straight and your not going to want coffee anymore. Fresh fruit and vegetables in either juice or raw form, and the staying power of a whole grain breakfast is a great base for the morning. One of the best breakfasts you can have is a bowl of oatmeal with fresh berries, or bananas. I also put in some natural all healthy peanut butter for added protein. Sprinkle some cinnamon on it, and you feel like its a dessert. You get the sugar your body craves, the carbs it needs to run on, and the added benefit of antioxidant vitamins to help it stay on track and balanced.

Tip # 4: High quality multivitamins are key.

Its so easy to miss out on essential nutrients when dieting. However, there's no substitute for a diet that has a healthy balance of all foods. Pay attention that your body doesn't miss out on the nutrients it needs just because you're cutting calories. A good multivitamin should contain, at a minimum, the minimum recommended daily allowances of vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E and K.

As humans, losing weight and weight loss is a struggle many of us have encountered in life. We strive to achieve the body we have perceived as perfect and often times, including myself, have failed numerously at this goal. I have been there and done that, from Weight Watchers meals, to earnestly trying and going to the gym nearly every day, and even just skipping certain meals. To a certain extent all of these routines have worked for me, but not enough to keep going as I have stopped doing a lot of these activities; due to not keeping up with myself and every day eventually became a cheat day, where I would indulge in foods I know I shouldn’t have and not workout. Due to the financial crisis there have been many changes made to government programs to reduce costs and help with debt. Many of these cuts are happening statewide, in America’s public schools. The first programs that are being cut are the art programs, and the excuse is that the core classes are more important. The argument is that children need to be more focused on test scores in Math, Science, English and History. It is unfair to single out art classes, there should be a more even spread of budget cuts, not just the sole elimination of the arts. There are parents who are indifferent with the arts and they are unfazed by their removal from elementary public schools. What many of these parents do not recognize is that there are actually benefits of the arts that help with core subjects. Some benefits are strengthening problem solving skills, stimulating critical thinking and helping developmental growth. There is also a duel component that shows that there is a direct correlation between SAT test scores and art programs in schools, as well as higher participation and attendance. It has also been shown that the arts can help boost the economy.…

There are a few different ways to go about losing weight. There is the conventional way which is a balanced diet and rigorous exercise at least once a day for at least one hour a day. There are many different parts of the body that you can focus on but if you want to drop the pounds it might be best for you to do some intense cardio to get the heart racing which will help you burn weight the fastest. “You can safely lose 3 or more pounds a week at home with a healthy diet and lots of exercise, says weight loss counselor Katherine Tallmadge, RD”. I personally also recommend some light weight lifting as well. Some people even take extra protein also but that mainly comes after you have lost some weight. Then there is the option of having weight loss surgery which is very popular today for people who are too obese to exercise. This is probably the best option and would give them a healthier life then they are used to but with weight loss surgery there could be some complications. WebMD states that “Most people experience no serious problems after weight loss surgery though 10% do have minor complications. Less than 5% experience serious (potentially…

"It's not just a game," to many athletes this statement rings true. Sports fuel the drive and determination within people, and provide them an essential learning tool from which they can grow. Competitive is defined as, "of or relating to a situation in which people or groups are trying to win a contest or be more successful than other : relating to or involving competition ."(merriam-webster.com) This concept of competitiveness is the foundation of all sports.
