Are you really willing to ban a whole breed just because social media told you they were bad? Pit bulls first started getting a bad rap when people used them for dog fighting making everyone think that they were violent dogs. Today when people think of pit bulls they immediately think of this scary dog that could kill you, but that is just not the truth. Banning pit bulls will not solve the problem of violent dogs in society. It is discrimination simply because of their breed.

The latest place to ban pit bulls is Montreal, Canada. Since there are so many places where pit bulls are banned many are put to sleep which is an estimated 1 million pit bulls per year which is about 2,800 pit bulls are euthanized per day in the US alone and there is around 35,000 pit bulls available for adoption. About 40% of the dogs euthanized each year is pit bulls and if cities continue to ban pit bulls the numbers will just keep going up. No dog should have to be banned or killed because other dogs in their breed were taught to kill, so why ban all the pit bulls because some of them were taught to hurt and
